Hi, I'm in the middle of SP2 rollout and just encountered my first headache.
I have the bean counter section who have created a Network folder (like
Public) and have stored Excell Spreadsheets there. During one of the
migration to SP2 all went well until the user attempted to re-connect to one
Local sheet which apparently has a built in link to a cell on the Public
folder.

The error was that the link was no longer in effect, gave me 3 error
messages and closed the Excel spreadsheet.

I uninstalled SP 2 and all is well.

However I now have 28 accountants who apparently ALL have undreds of such
links to Hundreds of spreadsheets. If I continue my rollout Nobody will be
getting paid anytime soon (or so i'm told).

cAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT asap.

Thanks

Stating the obvious here - did you check with the experts in the "office"
and/or "excel" newsgroups. Also, it is possible that SP2 is either now
expecting or no long user the actual "UNC" path to the shared network area
or they just may need to remap/reconnect to the network share - maybe even
assign it a network drive designation.

Small Note: If you want to learn how to fix/do something, I'll point you to
it, but if you want me to do your work for you, it will cost you $50 USD per
hour - your choice.
