Hi,

I am using Windows 2000 Server as DC in my Active Directory. Since I
installed it, I found an error event 202 in the application log of all my DCs.

Event 202:
The product Windows Server is out of licenses. Use License Manager from the
Administrative Tools folder for more information on which users are out of
compliance and how many licenses should be purchased.

All my server is configured to use per seat licensing model and I didn't add
any new license (CAL) to License Manger. I have a friend who is configured
the same as me but he didn't get this error in his DC.

If you have any idea of this problem, please share with me. Do you think
whether it is related to CD Key?

Thanks in advance!

The license service is notoriously buggy. Most here recommend that it be
disabled, as it doesn't produce accurate results and is never, ever used by
MS auditors.

In Win2003 it's disabled out of the box.
