Please bear with me -- I'm not an expert on Windows XP.
My problem is that as I was completing a Windows XP update, I got a message
saying that "Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been
replaced by unrecognized versions. Contact your system administrator for
Windows XP KB839645 Source Files."
When I looked at my update history, I noticed that on 7/13/2004, I had
downloaded the security update KB839645. Are these the same files? I
rebooted my computer and did not get that message again. However, it did say
that the KB839645 files were required for system stability.
What should I do?
