Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio

Hi Everyone,
The soundcard on my Toshiba Tecra M1 laptop is apparently a Soundmax
Integrated Digital Audio. Sometime in the last few days, I've lost all
sound (speakers and headphone sockets). I checked I had the latest
Soundmax driver, but I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?
