soundcard problem

Formatted hard drive reloaded windows me now have no sound
although device manager states that sound card is working
properly. When I try to play Windows Media Player it tells
me there is no soundcard

Look for updated drivers at the PC manufacturer's website.

Well sounds like your souncard drivers are not installed
properly. Find out your soundcard type and try to download
the most current drivers for it
