How is the DSL connected? Did you add a NIC or Ethernet card? If so,
there can be a conflict between the sound card and the NIC. In that
case, turn off the computer, physically remove the s/c, restart the
computer, shut down, and reinstall the s/c. This might assign a
different interrupt to the s/c and get everything working.
