Can someone help please, my sound is not working properly
on windows 2000. Each time I hear something it chips
out. What could possible cause this?
 
Bad, incorrect or no Windows 2000 driver for the sound card (or sound
hardware on the motherboard) is one reason, broken or failed hardware is
another. Does the sound system show up in Device manager? Did it work at
one time but has failed? Did you do something to the computer and then
it stopped working?

Have you tried to install the latest drivers for your sound card?
