i have installed the sound driver from the winfast disc but cannot get any
sound.

Did you have sound before installing this driver?
 
i did have sound but then had snags with something else so i did a master
reset (if thats what you call it) and then just began re installing
everything but not getting any sound even though it is tell me that realtek
ac97 has been successfully installed. Please help
