sound to mute all the time

Hi,

Not sure where to post this, I hope someone will help.

I have Win XP3, not sure the problem started when I installed it, but my
volume control board sets the microphone to "Mute" all the time, even after a
few minutes. So I make a call (Skype or Yahoo), then I try another one and I
realize the mic is on Mute.... Very annoying!

I use (for many years) SigmaTell Audio, the computer's device, as the
playing/recording device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check and install newer drivers. This seems to be a common problem
with a lot of different sound cards and SP3. It seems that SP3 may
not like the older installed drivers.
