Controlling sound quality is not one of my areas of expertise but it sounds
to me like you might benefit from using a more sophisticated recording
program. One that can help you eliminate background hisses and other
noises. An internet search should turn up several for you try.

Other things to try
- experiment with the level of sound on speakers and microphone. The goal
is to find a mix that eliminates as much static as possible
- increase distance between microphone and speakers to lessen possibility
of interference between these devices
- consult manuals for sound card and microphone for suggestions on
eliminating interference noise
