Sound Recorder Editing Issue

I have a large sound file that when I try to edit using sound recorder I get
the following error message:

"Not enough memory to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications
to increase the available memory and try again"

I've tried this with no other applications active and I still get the error
msg.

Can WMP 11 edit sound files? Real Player?

Any help is greatly appreciated

MS Sound Recorder has severe limits to it.

Use instead Audacity - its free, Google for it.
