I have received the following error messages. Wondering
if anyone's had problems with Musicmatch conflicting with
other programs to the point of losing files and sound?
Was listening to songs on my "Real One Player" when I
lost sound (I was entertaining at the time and couldn't
stop so I turned off the speakers) and heard "moaning"
sounds coming from my speakers. Had lost the ability of
using my factory installed (Dell) MusicMatch Jukebox
(second computer I've had problems with cuz of
MusicMatch) to be able to play... Actually couldn't open
it anymore. Virus scans are up to date (McAffee) and
show nothing on a scan. Here are some error messages
relating to the time of occurance. Would appreciate any
info anyone can provide (brand new computer)!!!
1.
The description for Event ID ( 5000 ) in Source (
McLogEvent ) cannot be found. The local computer may not
have the necessary registry information or message DLL
files to display messages from a remote computer. You may
be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The
following information is part of the event: 75695,
c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\EXTRA.DAT, 0, , VirusScan,
4.2.60, 4275.
2.
The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected
error '0xC0000040' while processing the file 'Itty Bitty
Titties.lnk' on the volume 'HarddiskVolume2'. It has
stopped monitoring the volume.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

THANKS, Marisa

Marisa,
Really sounds like you have a problem with McAfee, not
your PC. one suggestion, try norton's system works. I had
musicMatch on my laptop, I now use Windows Media Player
for all my music needs.
Good Luck

Marissa: Have you solved your problem? Is there a way
to get a sound program without using Miscrosoft?
