Sound problems

When I am rendering the movie, the sound from the video camera lags behind
the picture - 5-10 seconds. (Sound is coming from the video camera) I have
continued to reset it in the edit mode, but it doesn't seem to help.

Camera directly to laptop through a firewire cable and a firewire card.

The only time I have an Audio Problem its in the editing process..so try
this..if your useing a software other than MSMM2..I always edit in a ROXIO
Software..so..if you are going to TRIM your Video..CLICK---TRIM...your Video
should OPEN in the Viewer...DO NOT CLICK--PLAY and use the SLIDER...only use
the SLIDER when in a STOP MODE.....also...always allow your Video TO
Completely LOAD....don't start your editing immeadiately...or if you
do...Don't use the SLIDER....sneak up to your TRIM point...don't be afraid to
CLOSE the CLIP and Re-Open it for editing....go slow at the opening ....that
has been my audio mis-cue.
