Perhaps someone can help me with this.

Whilst coping files from one computer to the other i get a distorted sound
frommy system while i am playing my music, is this a common thing as it does
it no matter what player i use ie: Windows Media Player or Realone Player.

Many thanks, Tel.

Hi

When you are transferring files from one drive to another, the drive heads
are moving to read the data to be sent. Now while you are playing music,
especially those saved on the same hard drive, the heads have to try to read
at two places at the same time. Your distorted sound is probably due to the
hard drive trying to do multiple things at the same time. One thing you
could try to do is, increase the buffer size in the media players to store
more of the music in memory instead of trying to read a lot from the hard
drive.
