Sound over sound possible?

My presentation has mixed .wav files and .mpg's that sometimes overlap and it works fine. Is it possible to also add another .wav to this mix for mild background music under the other sounds?
 
That is sound card and system dependent. Simply put, PowerPoint can handle
it, if your system can.
