sound on xp home

i hear sound n my speakers, but it is very faint and
cannot be turned up. Is there a setting or something that
I should do to fix this? Thank you for your time!

Get the curent drivers and or patches for your sound card and the OS. Also
go tho the control panel and select the sound device and check your settings
there
