Sound muted on transition

I have a video that I captured from my video camera. I am adding sound to
the Audio/Music tract.

I have a video clip who’s sound will not play during transition (the video
clip's sound tract, not the Audio/music tract). If I right click on the clip
and select the volume controls, then click OK and then click play, the sound
plays but if I let it play from the previous clip, the captured video sound
acts like it is muted.

The clip previous has music in its Audio/Music tract and the Video sound is
muted.

It works fine in all other video clips.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

First guess would be is the video clip that is having an issue a MPEG?
If so convert it to AVI and the problem should be solved.
