Sound loops in ppt 2007 even when I don't want it to

I have an inserted sound -- an mp3 music file -- which is correctly playing
across slides in a ppt 2007 presentation. The final slide is timed with the
end of the music file.

but the mp3 loops back to the beginning and starts over.
I do not have the "loop sound" box checked.

Any idea on how to make it play just once?

Hi Erin

There are two places this can be set so check both:
1. On the Sound Tools Options tab click the little box at the bottom of the
sound options segment and untick loop until stopped (I think this is the one
you have already found)
2. In the animations tab click on custom animation -> click the down arrow
next to the animation of your sound file -> timing -> ensure repeat is set to
none.

Hmmm. Walk me through the exact steps you took to insert and make it play
across multiple slides (plus anything else you think may be relevant) and
I'll see if I can recreate the issue.
