SOUND IS PLAYING BUT I DONT HEAR IT!!!

Whenever i play a sound, whether its a song or sfx etc it
plays but i do not hear it, i have checked the volume
settings over and over but there is no fault in them, and
i have checked the connections but there is still no
fault. If anyone knows how to deal with this or has
experienced it tell me PLEASE!!!
