sound drivers

ever time i turn off my computer i lose my sound drivers
and have to reinstall w2k system

In device manager do you have multiple instances of the card? You might
have a ghosted device.

I know i have the modem as a another device when i lose
my mixer device i have the modem, but no mixer,,i have to
reinstall the realtek ac97 mixer to get sound
