Hi

Okay, when I start my computer up and log in everything is normal. At least
for a few minutes.
Then suddenly the sound drivers disappear, they completely disappear. I
can't even open the Volume Control, because I get an error message that says
that I don't have any mixers installed. When I check my Sound Devices, there
is nothing.
I'm using a Realtek soundcard, and when I open the Realtek sound settings,
the sound works fine, no problem, but none of the other programs recognizes
it.
Also, the Windows XP skin starts to disappear a few minutes after the system
start. You know, the blue frames around the windows. The program buttons at
the bottom list of the screen turn grey, and for example the MSN buttons
don't start blinking in orange and blue when I get a message.

This happens after a couple of minutes, as I wrote. I can't make a system
restore, because my computer (strangely) hasn't made any restore points. I've
tried almost everything, I don't know what now to do. I've downloaded the
latest drivers and so on. The night before this happened, when I was turning
off my computer it said "Some updates will be installed and the computer will
shut down automatically". And it did without any problem. Could it be a
reason?

Help me, please.

Regards
O-A Sikku
