we were having problems with our laptop, so we had all the programs wiped out
and reinstalled. Now we have no sound, and it says there is no sound device
installed. How do i get sound
 
Visit the laptop manufacturer's website and navigate to your model's
download area. You should find the sound driver there. Download and run
the installation package. Also, if your laptop has a drivers cd you can
install from there and then check the website for updates.
 
Go to the website of the laptop manufacturer and get the latest Windows XP
sound drivers.
You may also need other drivers.
