Sound cuts off in Presentation

I need to use MP3 files for sound in my PowerPoint. I Insert>Movies and
Sounds>Sound from file. If I right click>Play sound, it plays fine. When I
play the presentation, though, it cuts off immediately after starting. I
placed a WAV file (same sound) the same way, and it plays fine. If I right
click>Edit sound, I can see that both have file paths, so the WAV file is not
contained in the presentation. The difference is the duration. The WAV file
says it is a 2 second sound, but the MP3 says it is a 0.0 second sound.

Never Mind! In case any of you were wonering, I had saved it with a variable
bit rate, and it had to be constant to work.
