Sound Channels

I just got a brand new TV which happens to be HDTV|Monitor. That means that i
can use it as my computers monitor. As i took advantage of this feature, my
sound channels are reversed. By this i mean that the sound that is supposed
to come out of the right speaker is coming out of the left speaker and vice
versa. I would like to know if there was any way to fix this problem. This
only happens with my TV, i have a regular monitor that i was using before and
the sound always worked perfect. I dont think its any wiring problems because
i am running the wire from a slot in the back of my tv that says "PC sound
input". And also i cannot reverse the speakers and put the left one on the
right and so on because they are built in. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

So the question is, Is the "audio cable" misconfigured, or is the jack
on the back of the TV misdesigned? If the same cable works properly
connected to other TV's or monitors, then the jack on the TV is
incorrect (unless the TV setup has an audio correction) Suggest you work

I am not saying that there is a problem with any hardware. My tv, the cord,
my computer, everything is in great shape and fairly new. My question is if
there is a way to swap the audio channels so the sound comes out of the
correct speaker. Like i said the right sound is coming out of the left
speaker and vice versa. I am not blaming this problem on windows xp, but i am
wondering if windows xp is capable of reversing the audio channels.

Not native to XP, maybe your sound card accessory software has that
capability. Or you could "adjust" the cable?

Grumpy would have you fairly well classified.
