Invert stereo for sound ouput?

P

Paul E Collins

My speakers are positioned the wrong way round (left speaker on the
right, and vice versa) because of the layout of my computer desk and
the varying lengths of cables.

Is it possible to get Windows to invert stereo before sending sound to
the speakers?

I doubt it, thats more at the hardware level, 9there may be a 3rd
party programme to do it) you could cut the plug off and re-solder the
wires onto a new 3.5mm stereo plug with them connected around the
other way.

how about getting an extension?

OR...try turning your back to the computer so the left which was on your
right when you were facing it is now on your left...or better yet try
sitting on the other side of the desk

Unfortunately, the system programmers never imagined that there would
be enough idiots who needed such a possibility.

I don't blame them for their oversight.

Why would this make any difference as to what or how you hear?
This has to a real dumb question. IF you really must have the
left speaker sound come from the left then stand on your head.

Same answer as any other stereo setup, go get the cables you need to do
the job right.
