My sound card that came with my computer is not working and gives me a error
Code 10 and says the device cannot start. I have tried reinstalling it and
nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

You could always try upgrading the device drivers for this device.

To resolve this error code, make sure the device is connected to the
computer correctly. For example, make sure all cables are plugged in fully
and that all adapter cards are properly seated.

It may be possible to remove the device and redetect it using the Add New
Hardware wizard. Or there is always the chance your sound card is bad
(ugh).

I'll second the advice Michael gave you. In particular, you want to make
sure that the card was inserted correctly. If the card is not properly
seated Windows won't recognize it. Don't ask me why I know this.
