I seem to have lost the sound properties drivers, they are listed as working
but they are not. When I check the vol. controls and etc no driver installed,
can I get it back o re install another, running xp sp2, internet explorer, I
have no sound in media player, can play cds but no sound. I checked vol, not
muted, not even visible, I guess I may have to accept to no sound, I upgraded
from me to home edition, I really do not want to wipe out and start over
unless I have to. I have no wave sounds, and no windows sounds.

Download the latest XP compatible sound drivers from the sound card or
motherboard (if on board sound) manufacturer's web site and install it.
