Sorting Problem in Word 2003

If I click on File, then Open, the documents and folders in my default file
location are displayed. However, they are displayed in reverse alphabetical
order. How do I change the sort to display in alphabetical order?

Thanks.

If the dialog is displaying Details view, click the column header of the
Name column.

If it's in some other view, first right-click a blank area and choose View >
Details. Then click the column header. Once the proper sort order is
selected, you can switch back to some other view.
