Sorting fax messages

I am using Microsoft Fax. It defaults its sorting to 'ascending'. How can I
change this setting to 'descending' so it opens up with the latest fax
received at the top of the list?

Click the "Start Time" header in that column, and close the Fax app. It will
reopen sorting as it was closed.
You may not have checked the setting in Folder Options, View menu (control
panel) that tells it to 'remember each folder's view settings'

Click the header of the field you want to sort on. Click it a second
time to reverse the sort from ascending to descending or vice versa.

This works almost everywhere, not just in Microsoft Fax.
