Sorting Favorites

Is there any way (other than manual) to sort the "favorites" list
alphabetically ?

Open Favorites from the menu item, not the toolbar icon. Then right click
any of them and choose Sort by Name.

If you want them to automatically alpha-sort even as new entries are added,
you need a registry edit. Navigate to:

HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Menu
Order\Favorites

and delete the value named 'Order'. Also delete this value for any
subfolders. Then, with the favorite key highlited, click on Edit >
Permissions and deny 'Full Access' to Administrators, yourself, etc. This
will prevent the key from being automatically recreated.

not sure I am understanding your question correctly: If
you open your favorites list and right clic on the list ,
chose sort by name, it will reset folder alphabetically
and then single listings next (alphabetically)
