Sort by data in most recent month

I have a pivot table with my Items in the rows, months in the colums, and my
data is sum of sales. I want to sort by the most recent month. I changed
the sort from using the items to using the Sum of Sales and it re-sorts but I
have no idea what month it is using to sort?
 
Hi,

Just put your cursor in the data area for the most recent month and click
the Ascending or Descending sort button.
