Sony PD170p

I am trying to connect my Sony PD170p Digital Mini DV Camera to my laptop
through firewire cable for capturing video and audio. It doesn't work. My
laptop doesn't recognize the camera. It asks me for a driver for an unknown
piece of hardware, a driver which I can't find on the web and was not
provided with my camera. I have tested the camera on a MAC and works just
fine. The plug and play feature of Windows Express operating system is not
really working for me. Is there anyone out there who can help me?
