sony digital camera

I have a sony mvc cd250 digital camara that uses a usb connection. The
standard windows xp drivers were working with this camera until a few weeks
ago.Now when I plug in the same camera with the same cable into the same usb
port it isn't detected and the camera wizard won't open anymore. It used to
be listed in the camera /scanner wizard as sony digital camera but it is gone
now. Any ideas?

Uninstall and then reinstall and update the driver.Visit the
manufacturer's site to download and install the latest driver.
