Sony Multiscan 200ES

I have not turned on this monitor for a few months. When I turn it on
today, the monitor doesn't come on.

When I press the power button, there is a little noise and the power
light turns green for a few seconds. Then there is a little clicking
sound, and the power light changed to amber/orange, and the screen
doesn't come on.

Can anyone tell me whether there is a simple fix? Or is the monitor
dead?

the problem is most likely not your monitor-
posibilities / try this
1---make sure your computer is not on standby (pull the plug if you
need)
2--check the connections
--re-plug the power cords of your computer and the monitor
--check to see that all the prongs on the monitor plug are not
bent (use ------needle nose plyers if they are bent)
3--it could be your ram (i had a similar problem) I simply pulled out
the ram, - - ----turned the computer on, shut it off, put the ram in
securely, and vowalla
