My desktop PC is running XP Home SP2. I just started using the Remote
Assistance program to help a computer-illiterate relative who got a new
eMachines PC, also with XP SP2. Works great and very convenient.

I have another computer-illiterate relative with a computer running
Windows 2000 professional. Does that operating system have Remote
Assistance?

No, no it doesn't. You would need something like pcanywhere to work remotely
on that installation.

No.
Get them to install UltraVNC.
