Version: MS-Excel 2002 XP
Problem: Sometimes, up/down/left/right keys in MS-Excel 2002 don'
work correctly ?

Instead when an up/down/left/right key is pressed, the entir
spread-sheet moves up/down/left/right, and the active cell remains th
same (instead of moving to the desired cell).

If the computer is rebooted, it resolves the problem (for a while). Th
problem has been seen on more than one computer.

Repair, Re-install, and Service Packs did not resolve the problem.

Anyone ever seen this problem in MS-Excel ?

Thanks

Hiyou probably have hit the scroll lock key. Locate
the 'SCRLOCK' key on your keyboard and hit it again to
toggle between the two modes

Summars, the SCROLL LOCK key on your keyboard is the guilty party. If Scroll
Lock is turned on, the arrow keys will behave as you describe. Turn Scroll
Lock off, and they will behave normally.

Thanks ! That was it.

WOW, I never would have guessed that's what it was.

The reason it was happening, is because I press

Scroll-Lock + Scroll-Lock + Up

to switch my key-board, video, and mouse
(i.e. KVM switch) between my desktop and
my notebook computer.

Thanks again
