some songs play some dont???

recently i have noticed an issue where i cant play most of my music in my
library. Most of the songs wont play and keeps giving me and error telliing
me to go to web help to find out why i have done everything on the webhelp
site and still wont play but the newer music i have bought and downloaded to
my library and a few of the older cd's do work. Was wondering if anyone
else seen this problem and if so how to fix it?

What type of files ?

Did this happen just after you installed something ? What programme are you
using to play the music ? WMP ?

Any rights attached to your older songs ?
