playback........stuttering

when i play music or videos the music eraiticly stutters usually at the
change of a song but not always, videos however stutter most all the way
through. i have updated and read everything shut off evertyhing i can to the
bare bones to just play a song and nothing else to no avail. i ve tried
winamp,rhapsody,vlc,media player10,and 11, all the same results,my laptop
offers a destructive recovery and a basic system recovery, ive done both.it
worked for a couple of days. i even coded all my music to .wma and set its
codec to highest priority. still the same all i really do with my laptop is
music, surf, some video stuff with sonic that came with it, and i just want
my songs to play without stuttering. all music is in one folder about 3 gig.
any help would be great. thanx

Check out the following. My audio and video was stuttering badly but using
the resetdma.vbs script, it is all sorted now.

rayasiom.thanx a million dude that fixed it all ...i can even use all
enhancements again....
i tried to change back to DMA manually but it never worked.
ive pposted this problem hundreds of forums and no one even had a solution.

No worries mate - also searched most of the known universe for a fix and was
chuffed when I came across this one
