Some Sites not available

Certain sites which I know are good simply refuse to open on this computer.
OK on another on the network. I have been around the world on firewalls,
cookie settings, etc. No joy. Reinstalled Win XP - still no joy.

Some other cites give me the "you must enable cookies" line, except they are
enabled. Adding to the allowable sites doesn't help either.

What else is there???

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

Henri - Thank you but no luck. The accept/block routine doesn't seem to
have an effect either. Anything further come to mind?
