some outlook "notes" disappeared. Any way to restore?

I went into "Notes" on Outlook and 2/3 of them had disappeared for no
apparent reason. They were not backed up or archived. Is there any way to
retrieve them?

drag them from Deleted Items fodler to the Notes folder, or recover from
your most recent backup.

They would not disappear for no reason. Did you synch to a PDA?
