why do my notes in outlook disappear?

Hello,

I have saved several bits of information under "Notes" in Outlook. After a
while they either disappear or get archived (without any warning). I search
everywhere for them but cannot locate them.

Does anyone know if orwhere they get stored, what the file name would be and
how can I prevent this from happening in the future?

thank you,

What view is used for your Notes folder(s)?

Look for an "archive.pst" and open it in Outlook to see if your notes are
there.

Right-click the Notes folder and choose Properties. Select the AutoArchive
tab. Which of the top three radio buttons is selected?
