Some of my outgoing messages are not reaching the recipient.

I'm using MS Office Outlook 2003 my ISP is Virgin Media

Rather frustratingly some of my outgoing emails are getting lost somewhere
in Cyberspace.

When I post them they are leaving my outbox and in my sent items as they
should be but not getting to where they should be.

The problem is not exclusive to any particular contact, for example , I
email my partner quite often, some she receives, some she doesn't.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If the messages end up in your Sent Items folder and you have not received an
NDR (non-delivery notification) via email saying it was bounced and has an
error message included, there's no reason to think your emails aren't
arriving.

Perhaps they're ending up in your recipient's junk mail folder, being
filtered out by antispam software, etc. Your recipient should check at her
end to verify.

Also, email is not guaranteed to arrive anywhere immediately. There can be
delays of hours or even days on occasion.
