Some Messages You Marked For Download Are No Longer Available On Server

I had downloaded a bunch of headers from my POP3 server
to scan the mail. I encountered a file that would not
download. I had my ISP reset my mailbox(deleting all of
the files on the POP server). Now I get the following
error message each time I receive my mail: "Some Messages
You Marked For Download Are No Longer Available On
Server". I cannot figure out how to remove these headers
from my inbox. I know they don't exist anymore on the
server! Can't you clear your inbox asynchronously from
the POP3 server?
