Weeze

My internet provider is Comcast. I got the new Vista computer in the fall.
My Outlook express account was imported into this Windows email. Recently,
about a month ago, I found that a great number of messages sent to me weren't
getting to me. Also I can no longer review sent messages. Some don't post.
Recently I started entering a Subject in all of my emails, but still some
are not showing up in my sent folder.
And I am still not getting all of the emails.
Today I was a Copyto and didn't get that email. My email was listed in the
CC field.
These messages are not showing up in Junk.
I have noticed that I get the bell that I got a message but it doesn't show
up.
In addition, I have found some of the messages if I click Show all Messages
I saw some. Then if I click Hide Read or Ignored Messages others show up.
One that I supposedly did not get, I saw in Show All Messages but as soon as
I read it, it disappeared. Now it is not in Show All messages, Hide REad or
Ignored Messages, nor in the Deleted folder.
I am not happy with how this program is working.
I depend on viewing all messages that are sent to me and on being able to
see who I wrote to and what I wrote.
Thank you, Louise

Windows Mail is prone to interference from some security programs,
particularly Norton and McAfee antivirus. Which antivirus are you
using?

Well, Norton most definitely did NOT play well with Window Mail, or, for that matter, with Vista itself in general (it disables the Restore feature for one thing and locks up the Deleted Items folder in WinMail), but I haven't had any problems at all since I switched to McAfee. If you keep having problems, I suggest you try switching to Windows Live Mail - a free download mail client, companion to Windows Live Messenger. Does everything Windows Mail does and a lot more. A clone on steroids. Very easy to set up, works just like WinMail, Outlook, etc.

No trees were harmed in the sending of this message and a very large number of electrons were asked their permission to be terribly inconvenienced. And a party was thrown for them afterwards for being really cool about it.

Just keep using the McAfee antivirus program and you'll probably eventually
see
that it's about as bad as Norton in causing problems in Windows Mail. Both
of
them often take months for the problems in Windows Mail to show up, though.
