some emails can't be deleted

I am getting an increasing amount of emails that can't be deleted from the
deleted folder - although with others I have no problem. The ones that won't
delete show a message saying
"Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again"
My laptop is new.

If you spend any time reading the other posts in this forum you will
find that this issue is a very common occurrence with Windows Mail.
To prevent this problem from getting worse, read and heed
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
If you have McAfee or Norton antivirus, uninstall it. Then download
and install a non-intrusive antivirus program such as the free Avast.
Whichever new antivirus program you select, be sure to disable
its email scanning option.

Although it is possible to 'blow away' the existing email database
and thereby start Windows Mail with a clean slate, I recommend
you hold off until the new Windows Live Mail client is released
later this month.

I am getting the same message on an e-mail in my outbox. I can't remove it.
It is keeping me from sending other e-mails. I think the problem started
when that e-mail was in the outbox and I was restarting the computer. I know
the message was sent, but then it still thinks it is in the outbok and says
Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

What can I do. My computer is also new, less than a month old.

This issue is a very common occurrence with Windows Mail.
A successful fix has been developed by Steve Cochran:

Go to http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/
When you start to download the wmutil.zip file,
be sure to choose Save rather than Run.
After it finishes downloading choose Run, then Extract. Then it will
show the extraction folder with two files in it, WMUtil.exe and scxout.dll.
Run WMUtil.exe, wait until the buttons become active, then click on
Clear Outbox. It may take a while. Before you start, make sure
Windows Mail is not running.
