Symantec never replied to my email about my problems.

Yesterday, someone fixed my defrag problem.

They ran the windows defrag, and it ran successfully.
Then the Symantec defrag was able to complete its
defrag function.

That should tell me something. Shouldn't it?

My thanks for all the ideas people offered.

No, Not really.

No, Not really.

Windows XPs Defrag routine has seemed to ME to be superior
(faster) to Norton's.

What Norton does, Norton does very well. Hard drive
management. Properly set up, it'll tell you when you need
to defrag, and it'll sense and repair a dozen or more
different issues with your Windows routines and subroutines.
I've used it for some 5 year now, and I love it.

But I never liked its Defrag utility.

I've always used Windows' defrag, and I've always been happy
with it, until I discovered

Power Defragger.

If someone could provide the url for

Power Defragger, that would be helpful.

Good luck!
