My old hard drive died and I have tried to load Ultimate
Family Tree(version 2.7) which worked fine on windows
95. It shows as being installed but when I try to open
it I get an error message divide by zero or overflow
error.

How can I get this software to operate in windows XP.
Unfortunately the company that made the software does not
give technical support anymore.

Don, find the exe file and right click, pick properties. There's a
compatibility tab you can click on and see if it will run in windows 95
compatibility mood. Some things just won't work with XP.

Don,

Windows XP includes the Application Compatibility Wizard. It will give you
the option of running software that requires downlevel Operating Systems.
You can access the wizard either through Start | Programs | Accessories
item or by going to the Help & Support Center.
