Software Explorer

Im currently running Windows 7 and the Windows Defender that I have hasnt got
the Software Explorer. I've tried to download Windows Defender again but it
keeps telling me I dont need to do it as it is automatically included with
windows Vista (We upgraded from vista to 7).

How to I get this software explorere back with windows defender, and if I
can't is there another program I can us to control what programs start up
everytime I start up the computer??

use the properties of the programs to turn off the start with windows option.

oh and by the way.
might take a look at MS Security Essentials.
replaces defender. and has more functionality.
