Windows defender cant detect antivirus software.

When I start my computer I recieve security alert message that says windows
defender cant find antivirus software. It is also turned off, I have trend
micro, and avast antivirus free home edition. I have to turn defender on
manually and it cant find new definitions.

Are you running two anti-virus programs at the same time?

That's not a good idea, and possibly the source of the problem.

I would check with Trend Micro's support forums about this. A number of
antivirus programs in recent editions, disable Windows Defender--this is
intentional. Some Symantec, Norton, and McAfee products do this, for
example.
