snipping tool

For some reason the snipping tool on my Vista Home Premium OS does not work
anymore. Its shortcut is still on the Quick Launch toolbar on the task bar
and when I track the location of its exe file, opening it won't work either.
I would be grateful for any ideas to get it going again.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

Thanks Andre for the quick reply. Got the message that some problems could
not be fixed. Tried to open the CBS.log file but access denied.
I can live without the snipper and will use Hypersnap instead, which has
never let me down.

Give this a try, boot from your Windows Vista DVD, select the System Repair
Option > on the setup screen, select 'Repair Computer > Select your
installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.
